How the course works

Course start dates are the first Wednesday or Thursday of every month.

The course is delivered via:

• Live online webinars at 12:30 UK time
• Recorded tutorial sessions
• Written materials

All materials are provided via our online portal. The course lasts approximately 12 weeks and follows a focused approach with clearly defined deadlines to help you produce a high-quality application. You will have full access to a complete library of on-demand resources through our online portal, including:

• Recorded tutorial sessions and clear, step-by-step guidance covering every stage of the application process — from obtaining your CIOB applicant member number to writing strong, high-scoring examples
• Written materials providing tailored guidance on how to address each of the four required themes in your competency examples
• A comprehensive pack of bespoke guidance videos, documentation, and templates
• Flexible 1-to-1 support from a fully qualified CIOB Assessor as you progress. Guidance is available via your preferred method — email, phone, or online meeting — so you can get help exactly when you need it

Assessment Process

1. When you submit your completed application to us, we carry out an initial compliance check on your behalf offering advice and guidance to refine your application documents where necessary
2. Once your application passes compliance your application will be assessed and graded by one of our CIOB-qualified assessors. Should your assessor have any questions regarding your application while grading, they will contact you directly
3. Once your application has been fully assessed, we pass your application along with your assessor's grading sheet to the CIOB for processing, fast-tracking your application
4. Within 4–6 weeks of SPC passing your completed application to the CIOB you will receive confirmation of outcome from the CIOB
